Getting old and had enough fun for one day so I stopped short of Quesnel. Will be heading back tomorrow. May do a short day.

No more remote than some of the areas out west that I have been through, probably less, and less planning required.

Started out in the low 50's again and never got above 70. A few light showers here and there, but all less than 5 minutes or so. All in all a good day for riding and great scenery.

Best ride of the whole trip started about 40 miles outside of Hyder. Terrain unbeatable.

This afternoon I almost met up close and personal with a large buck. When I saw him running down the bank I locked it down but was on a collision course with him. He made it up on the shoulder of the road almost to the white line about 20 feet away from me, did a quick turn around and headed back into the woods. If he had continued forward, I do not think that I would have been able to stop in time.

Made a quick trip into Hyder, got the pictures but did not brother to get the T-shirt.

Crossing back into Canada was really no problem. Great looking female border guard. She asked me where I was from, my name, address, phone #, and if I was married. When I said yes to the latter, she said that she was sure that something could be worked out. Finally I convinced her that it was no need trying and she let me on through. She was fun to talk to though.

Staying in Stewart tonight.

There was a guy from Florida at the motel last night on an 08. Coming down from Fairbanks and on his way home.

Headed out of the coastal mountains this morning in the general direction of home. About 20 miles out it started a light rain and continued for 4 hours.

Today's ride similar to yesterday in reverse. Crossed through the valley and smaller mountains again. At Prince George I continued east and now have the Rockies in front of me. Should be doing the Jasper to Banff ride tomorrow.

Saw my first moose today and 3 black bears ( mamma and two cubs).

Weather started off as norm and was a great day for riding. Made it through Jasper and Banff today. Some great views. Not sure that it is that much better than Colorado.

Mount Robson Park - British Columbia

IceFields Parkway - Alberta

12 Deer and one small herd of mountain goats was the critter count for today.

Came out of the mountains just west of Calgary. Calgary was a pain to get through. East of Calgary it started to flatten out. Pretty much just homeward bound now.

Sunday was just a travel day crossing the plains, nothing exciting happening along the way. Weather was good for riding, never got above 90 and no rain.

Did not get a good looking female border guard this time. The guy must have been board with no activity because he decided to search all of my luggage. Good to be back in the USA.

Thought that I might try to make it home today but the weather and northern road construction did not agree. I started out this morning with around 4 hours of heavy rain followed with around 4 hours of light rain. Decided to leave it at a short day and finish tomorrow. However, it looks like I will be riding in the same cold front that I was today.

Got in around 6 this evening. The Spot works great, the wife was watching it and had supper ready when I can in. Last time I had talked to her was last night.

Rain was not as bad today. Started before entering TN and quit below Nashville. Other than that, was a good riding day and I made reasonable good time. Some of the best country that I had seen for a when was when I got to KY and from there home. Feels good to back home.
