We turned west on Hwy 2 toward Puerto Peñasco, Sonora. We would pass through many small towns before the ride was finished.

Check Point 2 at Puerto Peñasco

This stop turned out to be total entrapment. Not only did they provide us with cold drinks, ice, and snacks, they also had a huge pot of String Ray. Has got to be one of the best breakfast that I have ever had. Could not stop eating. Bowl after bowl, and 50 pounds heavier.

Finally we were able to depart from this check point, leaving all of the great Sting Ray behind us. We had taken way too much time at this stop.
